B.H. Mitigation

Established in 2012, B.H. Mitigation has incorporated the extensive land and resource assets within The Powell Group to position itself as a leading regional provider of wetland mitigation in Central and Southwest Louisiana. Since its inception, it has created and protected over 744 acres of wetland habitat and planted over 150,000 trees.

Wetland mitigation banks allow for the preservation, enhancement, restoration, or creation of wetland ecosystems to offset the adverse and unavoidable impacts of land development by government agencies, commercial energy companies, private developers and homebuilders. B.H. Mitigation, with over 30,000 acres of agricultural and forest land in Louisiana, assists clients with cost-effective site selection, design, and construction of custom Permittee Responsible Mitigation (PRM) solutions. If your project requires the purchase of mitigation credits to compensate for its environmental impact, B.H. Mitigation banking is regulated by State and Federal agencies in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
